Minutes of District Business Meeting – April 14, 2007

On April 14, 2007, at 1:50pm, a business meeting of Rotary District 6190 was called to order by District Governor Ron Burton.  Prior to the meeting being called to order, Charlotta Nordyke (Rotary Club of Shreveport) had verified credentials of representatives who would be voting for their Club.  In attendance were the following Clubs, their current membership and the representatives who had credentials to vote for their Club:

The first order of business was the election of Lou Bagma to serve as the elector for District 6190 on the nominating committee for RI Zone 29.  The district received only one name, Mr. Bagma’s, for this position and he was selected by a unanimous vote of the clubs represented.

The next order of business was the presentation by Bruce Willson (Rotary Club of Ruston) of the Policy and Procedures Committee’s recommendation to approve changes in the Finance Committee section of District 6190 Policies and Procedures.  After an explanation of the changes and discussion from the floor, a motion was made by Nordyke (Rotary Club of Shreveport) and seconded by Weaver (Rotary Club of Bossier City) to amend sections 1.b.2.b and 1.c.2.b  to read as follows:

            Section 1.b.2.b – expense reports and receipts documenting the use of the remaining 20%

            Section 1.c.2.b – expense reports and receipts documenting the use of the remaining 20%

The amendment was approved unanimously and the question was called on the Committee’s recommendation as amended and it was approved unanimously.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
