Tom was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. He started his employment with Arkla, Inc. in 1966 as a clerk. He moved to Shreveport, Louisiana in 1973 as an Internal Auditor. He was promoted to Vice President and Chief Internal Auditor in 1977, Vice-President and Chief Accounting Officer in 1988 and Vice-President of Information Systems and Gas Accounting in 1989. Tom retired from Arkla in 1993. Tom and his wife Gail started their Certified Public Accounting firm, Agee and Agee CPA, following his retirement.

He joined the South Shreveport Rotary Club in 1995, served as Treasurer in 1997 and Chapter President in 1999. He served as chairman of numerous committees/ projects and attended districts conferences. He was appointed an assistant district governor to complete this year .He is a Paul Harris Fellow. Gail and Tom have hosted several Group Study Exchange and Friendship Exchange team members.

Tom received his B.A. in General Business (Accounting) from the University of Arkansas. He maintains an active status as a Certified Public Accountant and retired status as a Certified Internal Auditor, and a Certified Valuation Analyst. He is member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Louisiana Society of CPA’S.  He has served as the President of the Ark-La-Tex Chapter and Regional International Director of the Institute of Internal Auditors Tom is past recipient of an IIA Outstanding Contributor Award, an IIA Distinguished Faculty and former adjunct Faculty to LSU School of Internal Audit. He has served as a member of the board of directors of the Louisiana Association for the Blind for twenty years and as chairman once. Tom served on the Pulaski County Special School District’s elected Board for four years prior to moving to Shreveport.

Tom and Gail have two children Andrea 14 and Tony 12. In addition, Tom has two grown children Tom II (who has four children- Andy 16, Emily 13, Sara 7, Taylor 6) and Larry (Past-President of Sulfur Sun Rise Rotary Club of Louisiana) has one child Adam 8.
