Bruce Willson, Jr. was born in Paris, France, nine months after his father returned from an extended deployment as a pilot of a C-119 plane---along with many other children of the pilots in the squadron!  He has also lived in Brazil, Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana.  He met his future wife of now 31 years, KK, when they were in the same 7th grade class. They were married while university students and are the proud parents of 3 adult children, a son and two daughters.

Bruce graduated from Neville High School in Monroe, Louisiana.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Louisiana Tech University, a Master of Theology degree in Hebrew and Old Testament Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary.  He is a Certified Fund Raising Professional and until March 2008 he was employed at Louisiana Tech University as an Assistant Dean.  In April of 2008 he accepted an offer to become the Executive Director of the United Way of Northwest Louisiana.  He is an active member of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement, the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.

A Rotarian since 1993, Bruce has served as President of the Rotary Club of Nacogdoches, Texas and the Rotary Club of Ruston, Louisiana.  He is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Shreveport, Louisiana.  Having previously served as District 6190's Governor Nominee and District Governor Elect, he is the 2008-2009 Governor. 

One of his personal motto's is, "If not me, then who? And, if not now, then when?
