Rotary Youth Exchange Program

Rotary International's Youth Exchange program is a very important aspect of the Rotary service agenda.  Each year it enables students to travel to parts of the world, to live and study in a different cultural environment.  These young people are the leaders of the future.  The experience and confidence gained as participants in this program will permit outstanding youth to be more responsible world citizens.
As a host club or host family, you will play a vital role in helping to shape tomorrow's world.

For more information on the Youth Exchange Program, please visit the Rotary web site for more information.

Short Term Exchange

Or, summer exchange.  Usually three or four weeks duration.  Exchange visits host country and returns with host sibling so youngsters spend 6 - 8 weeks together.  May be other than summer to accommodate southern hemisphere exchanges.

Long Term Exchange:

Exchange of home stay and attendance at school.  This is a total immersion in the culture of the host country so that the exchange will be educated in the language, history, geography, social mores and current affairs of the host country.

If you are interested in submitting an application  to become a Rotary Youth Exchange participant, please contact Bill Gates.
