History of District 6190 |

On Saturday February 28, 1914, the Rotary Club of Shreveport was chartered and became the first Rotary club in North Louisiana. It became a part of District 12 which comprised Texas and Louisiana with 19 clubs.

District 14 comprising Northern Mississippi and Louisiana. Memphis was added in 1921 making 23 clubs. |

District 17 with the same territory except for Memphis, growing to 63 clubs. |
| 1937 - 1949 |
District 139 comprising Western Mississippi and Louisiana; 49 clubs |
| 1949 - 1956 |
District 202 created; territory remains the same; 53 clubs. |

District 619; territory remains the same; 57 clubs |
| 1957 - 1991 |
District 619 split into two parts and now comprises North and Central Louisiana with 30 clubs. |

Renumbering of all districts by Rotary International. District 619 becomes 6190. |
